SRM Training System - the Original direct from the inventor
Any really ambitious cyclist will want to know just where he "stands", how fit he is, what power output he has. What has been taken for granted for years in the case of professional athletes, is becoming ever more important for the amateurs of this popular sport with its increasingly professional organisation: Ideal training principles as the basis for the best possible power / endurance ratio – whether you are talking about riding road, mountain or track bikes.
The SRM Training System is available in the following versions:
> Road
> Mountain Bike
> Track
> BMX
A complex measuring process that not only professionals can rely on
The SRM training system measures true power output in watts on your own bike during your training sessions and/or competitions under real conditions. Namely at the exact point where power output can be measured best – at the transition between the crank and the chain rings. Whereby power output is recorded continuously and not – as is the case in other systems – only on one side and once, or even less than once, per crank revolution. Such a method could lead to inaccuracies in the measurement that in turn could give permanent false readings of the athlete's training condition.
The SRM PowerMeter is mounted instead of the normal crank/chairing combination. The SRM PowerControl is used instead of a pulse meter and a bike speed indicator. It records far more data than any other bicycle computer, stores it for later analysis and, of course, displays it. The SRM Training System is an ideal basis for a continuous improvement of one's physical constitution.
